I saw the Photoshop version of this at the drawfest, and it's true, FA did rape the details.
That doesn't take anything away from the ridiculous amount of BLATANT artistry shamelessly on display here, though! OMG I wish I had a tenth of your talent!

FA is fail. Good way to seriously mutilate art that people have put a lot of effort into. Yeah, I'm kinda pissed off.

I am happy you like the glowy ones. More plants should glow. Walking through a glowing forest would be something I could appreciate. We should go hunting for glowing forests some time...

I hear they like to take everything and turn it into a poorly compressed JPG file. I usually don't notice because most of what I upload is monochromatic.

It's soooo detailed, how did you sit at the computer for that long? It's really good, I am sad you lost some of it to compression, but how the heck did you do that in Photoshop?

I did it over a couple of months :P I really haven't been working on much else lately.

Trying to get a better life has taken out so much I can't hkeep up on there atm XD
FA is slowwwwer though, and I'm (almost) able to keep up XD

The skies! The skies! They're magnificent! Everything else is good, too, but the sky looks like an old-school painting to me.

As for the picture itself...I have no idea what to say. The detail is mindblowing. I can't believe this only took you 35 hours. The fur looks like fur, clounds like clouds, dirt like dirt...everything's just so real.

Very neat plants you've made up there, they all look very alien, yet still believable. Though is that tree growing into the spine of the character? What's the story with that?

Yes... something I always love about dragons is the variety. I'm not sure if I'd consider my character to really be a "dragon", but I'll leave the definition up to the viewer.
Falkor? :O

Falcor is the name of a white furry dragon from the book 'The Neverending Story,' which was later adapted into a movie in the 80s, and the dragon is made animatronic!

The book is better, though.

Ohh, yeah, I remember I loved that movie when I was really young. Falcor was my favorite.

you've managed to make this either-wise alien world, seem natural. The way you drew your creature is very natural and believable. Your digital painting skills are quite impressive, though, for a suggestion, i would say it would be a good idea to experiment with more dramatic classical lighting. The lighting in most of your color work is diffused, as if there were an overcast sky. Try an intense daylight scene, use lots of reference.
