The first draft of the story I have been working on. Feed back is welcomed. Any thoughts or questions I would be happy to hear it.
I haven't been writing in years and I want to make a solid go at this.

She picked him because he's pretty, and because she can. I suppose that I should make it more clear that it's pretty arbitrary.
Rat watched her take him away and survived the ship sinking. She's a known figure and he used old stories to find the island. However I'm thinking of going into more detail about that if I make the sequel

You can take the sequel in so many directions now because there is literally a whole world to explore. It's starting to feel like the beginning of the manga One Piece now. I love stories where characters try to rebuild what was lost to them in the past. Can't wait for the next entry! ^_^

I didn't find anything to dislike. The twist at the end really got me. I knew from the beginning that this was gonna be a pirate story but I thought it was gonna be something along the lines of Lawrance's wife being kidnapped and him playing the hero to rescue her. I was completely mistaken. I was really caught off-guard by that twist in the end which I won't say because I know people read comments despite my spoiler warnings. XD. Kudos to you for being very creative there! =)
My only question is when will Chapter 2 come out.
