This was already on my DA but I had never put it on here, dunno why not. I had been looking at tons of other art tutorials and I was trying to think of a clever way to make it even more simple than all the tutorials I had seen so far. I'm not gonna brag but I'm open to your thoughts and opinions. Do you think this would help you? Is it understandable? Is it anatomically correct? Don't be shy now, leave your opinion below! \o/
Important anatomical notes:
You'll notice the lines on the neck come down to form sort of a point. following these lines to that point is a neat way to identify where the collarbone sits, and the collarbone then spreads out to each shoulder like wings.
You'll notice that I chose a square/rectangle to indicate the elbows instead of a ball. Don't ask me why, not even I am sure, it just seemed right. The elbow falls just below the ribcage and the wrist stops somewhere near the pelvis, normally, so the hand will often extend just a little bit past the crotch of your character. (So mine are actually just a little bit off)
On a female the hips are almost as wide as the shoulders, but on men the hips aren't any wider than the chest. This is subjective, however, since not every body is built the same. This is just a generalization for the average person.
I'm sure you've noticed some of the strange shapes I've chosen for the breast, belly, and butt. I chose these because they're simple and precise. If you imagine the breast like a wide box tilted on an angle, like in the picture, the points can show you where the nipples should sit and the straight lines will help to make the breasts appear evenly balanced. You'll have to 'flesh' the image out later on but this makes a good starting point.
The "Football" belly isn't the most anatomically correct thing ever, but it's pretty close. The thinnest point on the female body is usually above the belly button and below the ribcage. The butt is often very pear-shaped, at least on my females, I like it :3
So if you've read this far, or decided it was too long and skipped to the bottom, thanks for your time and if you have any other advice for future artists feel free to add it in a comment.

Def! When I get (That translates to; If Santa Claus is nice to me this year. XD) my Tablet I'll be showing some art, right now it's all Paper and Pencil and no scanner. So far I'm working on just some practice now using what you show, and I actually have a female-Like Shape! And not just some blob-creature.
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much!
About your waist and thighs. I haven't seen the defining lines and shapes done like that in a long time. Where did you learn that? Was it from a book by a guy named Burne Hogartthe?
Your representation of the waist are is spot on, but I don't know if you know why its anatomically spot on.
The 'V' at tabove defines the hip bones. The hips have a depression in the skin that (while I'm still studying to draw an overlay) does define a separation of the abdominal viscera / sac. In fact, I'll try to get that drone soon and leave a link here. Moving on is thlower 'v' , which defines the depressions in the skin over the Gluteus medius. There are a number of muscles over the G.m., but oddly not as defined in body builders as is the skin depression over the edges of the G.m. The Gluteus Medius is a smaller muscle medial and anterior and superior the Gluteus Maximus.. the butt.
The defining line of the legs may be for shape tutorials, but has a further benefit. The leg line shows up as a skin depression in very fit individuals. Whether a segment of fat or viscera between the leg shape and abs and G.m. I don't really know for sure, but there is a defining skin depression there.
Keep up the brilliant work!

Thanks for your comment! In fact I have never heard of Burne Hogarthe, this is some stuff I kind of taught myself through my own practice. I've seen at least a million "Tutorials" on drawing females and they always looked too complicated to me, so I went with something that seemed simple and easy to understand for a dummy like me :P I'm glad you liked this and I truly appreciate the compliment! It's rare I ever get compliments on my art so I'm quite happy to hear them when I can. I'm always trying to improve too, so in time I may update this with even more "Cheap Tricks" as I call them.
