Here's a tantilizingly tasty tropical treat that looks soft and sweet ready to eat from the kitchens of
h-fox
The marbling isnt wholly apparent in this one, but then i couldve used some food coloring, i was just too lazy to go and get some :-3
Anyway, this is my own recipe for a cake, and people please feel free to make it yourselves and show it off with whatever kindve colorings you like!
Ingredients:
For the main cake:
2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups flour (self rising)
4 eggs
2 tsp baking powder
1 cup oil
3/4 cups pinapple juice (you can subsitute for pineapple rum if you like! Adds a little bite)
4 tsp crushed pineapple
(color if desired)
Secondary (marbling) cake:
1/4 cup and 2 tsp flour (self rising)
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 cup oil
1 egg
2 tsp hot cocoa mix (add more for more chocolate flavoring)
1 tsp banana extract
1 tsp artificial Rum flavoring
1/3 Cup milk
(Color if desired)
Instructions:
-Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees farenheit
-Mix together ingredients for the main cake in a large mixing bowl. This can be hand mixed without much difficulty, though if you use a mixer, mix on a low speed.
-Mix the ingredients for the marbling cake in a secondary bowl in the same way.
-Grease a circular cake pan and add the batter for the cake.
-Using a spoon or butter knife, drizzle the marbling batter over the top of the cake and use the knife or spoon to 'marble' the added batter throughout the cake.
((-There will be some marbling mixture left over, i recommend baking this alongside your main cake in a small, seperate pan for around 10 minutes for some banana (cake)bread!))
-Bake at 350degrees Farenheit for 50 minutes (altitude depending)
