It's amazing what you can find out there when you feel like off roading, see Wolf and Ratty found this old 53 Caddy waiting to be saved from the weather, good thing Wolf replaced his Bronco's 302 and C4 trans with a 460 and a 4 speed from an F-350.
all three of the vehicles here are models I worked on, the K-5 Blazer and the Bronco are modified versions of the Revelle re- released kits. the Caddy is a model I picked up for $2.00 at a Pilot Truck Stop, it was damaged when I bought it, so I thought it fun to weather it to this point. Hope you enjoyed this. Lemme know if I should do more little stories like this.

The story is why I clicked. it certainly sold the pic as being real. I was like "They found a caddy in the woods?" "cool". Even full viewing it still looks very convincing. Ive shown model horses for years and thats the idea.. Set it up as real as possible and take a pic. Making model horses look real is a chore considering the manes and tails but cars.. A skilled modelmaker such as you could certainly do some very very convincing pics, such as this. The only things in this pic that gives it away is the scale of the leaves. And maybe the bronco wheel over the 'tree" but that is an entirely possible thing when offroading. BUT getting back over it from a stopped position could be tricky so if the wheel was behind the tree it would sell it moreso. Would Wolf drive over with one wheel and stop?
I love the aging on the caddy.

I most certainly will. My life has had models in it since I was 5yrs old tho I didnt enter my 1st show until I was 18. I have also judged a few shows over the years. Ive not shown or judged in a while tho mostly due to the model HORSE shows being very competitive and to stay in the game you have to be able to afford realistic accessories for them. A prize winning saddle, harness or costume can cost more than for a real horse.
