At times, while watching other people's artworks, I get hit by this giant feeling of ambition. I get this unbelievable urge to prove myself that I can aim to same level as they are, and so I start drawing vigorously. Usually my attemps fail, I get pissy, until I gather myself and wait another ambition-wave to happen.
Painterly style in digital art has always been something I've wanted to do, and usually failed miserably while trying. This is actually first digital painting I'm somewhat happy with, it's not perfect, poor Crysael has a man!chin, but it's a lot better than my usual tryouts. I still have a lot to learn, lips and noses are still hurdles I have to get across, but it's nice to know I'm getting somewhere.
So enjoy a "speedpaint" (took about 5 hours, which is fast for me, and still it's only face that is somewhat finished) of shirtless Crysael! Feedback is always appreciated, specially with this kind of style, it's out of my league.
