I came up with a gorgon character called Karellia a couple years ago, did one less than stellar drawing of her, figured out more of her personality and story, and them promptly didn't touch her again. I've been thinking a lot about older characters of mine who I want to go back and revamp, and Karellia just so happens to be one of the first!

Karellia is a Euryalen Gorgon, intended to be one of the many descendents of the immortal Gorgon, Euryale, and her coloring is based off of Corn snakes, specifically Butter Corn and Butter Motley Corn Snakes. She's naive, cheerful and eager to see the world, no matter what state it might currently be in.

She's basically an urban fantasy, post-apocalyptic version of the little mermaid with more of the Disney happy ending feeling vs. Hans Christian Anderson's darker source material.

I'll probably end up doing a lit version of this in addition to the flat colors. X)
