A while back I did a guest strip for my buddy Robbie “Robléz” Robertson over at Femmegasm and recently “re-discovered” the original art for it, which made me realize I never got a chance to post it here. I’m correcting that now and also telling you to go read Femmegasm ( http://www.aorange.com ) cos it’s a dang nice strip!
Rob, we need to get to our plans for Strip! in order so I can get this art to you!

I have pointed this out to everyone else who has complained about him making the new Turtles movie.

Any 'legacy' they had racked up has already been tarnished beyond repair.
On top of that most people agree the third Turtles movie was garbage anyway. So it's not like the films have a spotless record.
I'm not saying Bay is the greatest director ever; but people really need to stop blaming him for everything.

Oh, I agree, fully. TMNT is one of those licenses that really succumbed to the manufacturer machine and really whored itself out. It's amazingly rebounded with a pretty good relaunch a while back, but it's starting to slip back into what made it wash out in the first place. Bay isn't the first guy to screw with the turtles, but he's messing with one of the core elements of the entire premise which is what everyone's getting mad about.
I can't even get mad at him for that. When it made the jump from comics to cartoon they changed the origin story to make it more kid friendly. Even going so far as to claim that Hamato Yoshi and Splinter were one and the same, despite in the comics it being an owner/pet relationship.
Well that is a bit silly yes; but meh. I'm not going to get up in arms about it. It's not like he can actually go into my brain and alter my childhood memories. :b (Though that concept has been done in a pretty funny skit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KF02VoDQSd0 )
I was going to go on this big rant thingy but I decided against it. Rather I'll put it succinctly. Regardless if you like Bay's movies or not, he is not doing anything that a bunch of other directors are doing. There are countless remakes and re-tellings and reinterpretations of old movies, books, TV shows, what have you, and very few of them have been directed by Bay.
