I have been above the Arctic Circle in the spring and it looks a whole lot like that. It's miles and miles of no trees just grass and scrub now and then.

I know, right? they fell out of fashion like fox taurs and skunk taurs.

Yeah, exactly! I wonder when/why that happened. When I first found furry fandom, taurs were a reasonably common sight (including the occasion hex-taur, even!), but these days, except for chakats, they seem to have almost completely disappeared.
