While both the Horse and Hind are are feminine symbols, they are androgynous in that they are are associated with both the water and fire element. The feminine aspect is represented in the image by the flowing water whereas the androgyny is represented by the paralleled sun and moon. Both are engulfed in red water (blood) the combination of fire in water with the feminine emphasis.
The Horse is externally fire hence the gold (sulphur) coat, and internal water hence the watery eye and it's extremities reflect the tint of deep water. Water (nurturance) within Fire (emotions) nurtures the earthen (action) aspect, represented by the branches growing around the Horse.
The Hind is internally fire, thus it's eye, and the hooves and antlers that emerge from "within" are flame-like. Because it is external water, it's coat bears the colour of shallow waters. The Fire (intelligence) within the Water (nurturance) creates Air (wisdom) represented by the turrets of wind surrounding the Hind.
<the Hind is a doe with gold tipped antlers and brazen hooves.>
TL;DR : Hoofers. I wish I could have emphasized the wind swirls or differentiated it more from the BG, but I couldn't use any other colour.

OMG I SERIOUSLY didn't think you drew this when I saw it in my gallery! I thought it was someone else and then I saw your name a FLAT LINNED.
This ins particular would be one AWESOME badge. Maybe we start to implement your designs for badges to sell at cons? Things that can attribute specific characteristics via the Alchemical forms. Seriously, we have GOT to look into this.

thanks, though look around... no one seems that interested in this style. Cell-shading and digital is the way to go - I don't think traditional line-work is appealing enough to make money off (I even put in my journal that I accept commissions and there has been no takers).
