Hey, remember that minotaur pic from the other day? I really liked it as linework. I know people just don't dig b/w art the same way, but I like the strong graphic quality, and to me it looks more like all that kickass old game art.

I am playing catch up with my views on submissions around here at FA, but what I see of this one inked, I got to say I am loving it. That is one Minotaur that is dress for bear and anything else that might come his way.

The colored version is earlier in the gallery - but I love b/w stuff, and honestly like it better as just ink work.

Funnily enough, sometimes I prefer b/w (or sometimes, sketches) over coloured works - depends on various things and can be hard to nail down quite why - though sketches feel more organic than hard inks, for example :)

Oh, yeah, I definitely agree with you. Pencils wind up being a lot more interesting visually, and I think some of my inks even now can flatten things out.
