Meet Spire, the OC of which I am most proud of!
Half of me wants to keep the story out of secret for the sole reason of wanting to see what people come up with on their own. If you do have your own interpretation of this character, I would love to hear it!
BUT OH WELL I'LL SAY (paste) IT ANYWAY :V

Spire is the first of an unnamed species that I have created. He lives in a very large city, set in an ancient Arabian desert city populated only by his race. There, he lives as a variety of lifestyles, but to him, he is purely a dancer.
That may sound strange, but in his city, being a dancer is one of the most cultural things one can do. They are wonderful, talented performers, knowledgeable in a variety of dances, but the most intriguing thing about them is that their identity is always hidden via a mask or a veil. Because the race is so androgynous and has very few defining features, it is very hard to tell who it is in front of you. For that reason, viewers often become obsessed with them, forever a mystery that remains very amazing and graceful for them to see.
With that said, very few know who Spire actually is. Many of them haven't even seen his face, but as an icon, he is extremely well known. Spire lives to be a performer, to please his people. He loves attention in any shape or form, and will do anything to get it. No matter who he meets, he will accept them as a friend, be it someone passing him on the street, at a performance, anywhere and anyone at all immediately becomes his friend. For that reason, many people love him and because of that, Spire sees all of his friends as his fans as well.
And Spire will do anything to please his fans.
Sometimes, the people in his city will be against a higher authority. Say there is a lord who betrayed a lot of people to make some money, or a thief who stole from many poor folk. Sooner or later, word of this will come to Spire. To Spire, who accepts everyone as a friend, these bad people don't seem like very good friends, and for that reason, Spire decides that they aren't his friend anymore. With that said, Spire has a very common saying (he refers to himself in the third person).
"Don't worry, my friend, you and all others are friends of Spire! For you not to be a friend of Spire's, you'd have to be dead!"
Spire makes it his own personal mission to put an end to whoever is not a friend of his. Spire, being a dancer, being so capable of hiding his identity in front of hundreds, even thousands of people, used his skills as a dancer, to become one of the most acrobatic and efficient killers in his city. Using his unstoppable sense of rhythm and grace, he's been able to combat almost any force that has come his way. None of the authorities have ever been able to track him down because they never know who he is. Even if they watch Spire kill someone right in front of them, if he manages to get away, there is nothing they can do. He can slip into any performance as a dancer, and no one will know who he is until it's too late.
For this reason, while the authorities have him marked as one of the biggest criminals in town, among his people, he is known as a hero, a vigilante rather than a dancer! When people recognize who he is, they cheer his name, and it just fills his heart with joy!
Spire, however, sees things differently. Apart from always listening to what his fans want, he is VERY oblivious to the world around him. He will always see himself as a dancer, the best dancer in the world. He just thinks he has strange ways of dealing with his friends whenever they get too nasty to other people. He believes that the reason everyone loves him is because he is so good to his fans, that he is that wonderful and attractive.
Also, don't let the murderer aspect of him scare you. As I've said, he is extremely friendly, always happy, always willing to accept anyone around him with a smile on his face. Sadly, in front of a crowd, he may be entertaining, lovable, and graceful, but when spoken to one on one, it turns out he is actually very vulgar, stupid and heavily perverted (poor guy XD). All in all, he is still very friendly and affectionate, he just takes some getting used to!

As I said, I have yet to name my species, but I do already have several other characters made for them! All in all, I do love them very much <3
Lastly, you may roll your eyes at this as much as you'd like, but I have very VERY big plans for Spire as well as his race! It makes me very excited!
