Made this as a Christmas present for my partner; his own Reindeer buddy!
The pattern is custom designed. Features a slew of different furs, such as Monterey Mills, some fabric.com, and a lot of LA fashion district finds. The antlers are made from my favorite textured vinyl which is just a little velvety, and the hooves are made from fabric-backed upholstery vinyl.
The doll is button-jointed with upholstery thread so all his limbs move, and they don't flop about (as I've found plastic doll joints tend to do). His ears have interfacing so they're good n' perky, and his eyes have been sealed for waterfastness.
He's an excellent cuddle buddy! We had him on display at the FC2012 art show, & then I spent the rest of the weekend carrying him papoose-style on my hip. :)
