Wow these are beautiful. Is there any particular way you go about coming up with a scene?

Truth: I'm in love with the work of Neil Campbell Ross. (Among others, but he's the one I'm studying at the moment.) Master copies are a great way to learn how another artist did what they did, but the method I like to employ involves taking a piece with a palette I like and painting my own version of the same subject. "Under the Mountain" and "Bus Stop" were both based on NCR paintings, as is this one, though in each instance I've taken them in what I hope is an original direction. I'll post links if I can, once I'm finished with this piece. I'm interested in hearing if the apple feel off too close to the tree.
