Thanks to scanning this when he got home from FWA, I can share with you the badge that kick-started my incredible weekend.

Varien really captured my imagination with his stories of many great LARP (live-action roleplay) adventures as a dual-school earth and celestial mage with small weapons skill, so I ran with it. I decided that this badge would give the impression that Varien was making his way through some dimly lit space, guided only by the light of his flame, when he stumbled upon a mislaid dagger. Perhaps it's one of his own, or potentially a well-disguised magic item. Only time could tell.
