I am reminded in some ways of a book of magic practices called Nocturnal Magick. It talks about working with the dark and some of what you might accomplish and what deities to work with. It also discusses things like good and evil light and dark and how some folks fall between such points. I consider myself somewhere in the dark and good spectrum as I prefer the night and try to do good even if it doesn't always turn out as intended. But that's just me; your mileage may vary.
