Now while working on the next comish, I can at least deliver you this piece that rested for some time n my hard drive.
I bet I will hate this picture in two days XD
Anyway, warning. This Suicune is inspired in the anatomy by a cheetah and is nothing more than my own interpretation.
Also warning for fallowing story:
- It is based mainly on the happenings in the Remake of Pokemon Gold and Silver (HeartGold and SoulSilver would that be?)
- It is based on the fact that you ARE able to catch all legendary in that game
- Lyra was chosen, because she appears on more official pictures containing the three cat than Klarin.
- too much sugar and it was late when I wrote this .____.
That said, have some short ff:

Lyra remembered that back in the days, when she and Klarin still were very small children, that each time her childhood friend stayed at hers overnight, her mother used to come into their room to tell them a bedtime story.
Sometimes she would read it from a book, sometimes she told it from her mind. Usually it was one of those typical fairytale stories about far off lands, knights, dragons, princesses in distress and such.
But occasionally the stories were also about people and their meeting with the legendary Pokémon.
She remembered how well her mother was able to display the emotions of the protagonists and antagonists and the mood of the situations they were facing.
She remembered how Klarin and her sat there in awe and starred at her mom, fascinated how only young children can be.
But she also remembered how the two of them grew older; the stories showed a certain pattern and lost their fascinating aura.
One day when they heard another story, (Lyra couldn’t remember which legendary Pokémon the story was about exactly), Klarin mentioned something about how stupid it was that people longed so much to see those rare Pokémon. How useless it was to run after them, if one could have their special Pokémon right by their side.
Of course he was talking about those one would go on a journey with, the Pokémon you would either catch or grow up with or get from a professor like Prof. Lind, those you live through adventures and battles and training with.
And since back then until that day, Lyra had to agree that her best friend was right to a certain degree. Why should people hunt after something they cannot have when the really important creatures are right next to you? Or why did they let their prey slip through their fingers in the end? Or quit their chase just because all of the sudden those so called heroes realized something they should have known from the beginning.
That said, the adolescent agreed with Klarin until this very moment. A moment where she found out the stories her mother told could become reality.
Because right now she was standing here and in front her, none other than Suicune, member of the three legendary cats.
The big Pokémon stood still for a second and looked at the girl with an undefined expression, maybe mustering her.
That was until steps were audible behind the teenager, which died down in their sound right next to her.
Standing there now was Eusin, the came-to-life version of the protagonists from the fairytales of her younger days. Suicune began to move, but didn’t escape immediately. It made a few jumpy turns and shifted for once its gaze from Lyra to the man next to her.
She could practically feel how his heart jumped, how loud it began to beat at a scene that lasted not longer than about two seconds.
Lyra could not remember many of the stories details anymore, but the memories of that evening and the words of her mother still ran through her head crystal-clear, as she answered the boy right next to her: “Maybe because it is a goal they reached after losing so much sweat and tears. Because reaching a goal you wished for so long can change who you are right on the spot. That goal and the path to it are maybe not always as we imagined. Like a book of which you roughly know what it is about, but you will never know what the details and the ending is unless you read through it.
You two may be still too young to understand this, but that’s what I call ´The defining moment of one’s life´. For each person it is something else and it happens at different time in each individual’s life. But it comes and it will change you. I don’t need to tell you that it will feel special when you two find yours and witness it. But let me tell you: If you ever have the chance to witness another person’s defining moment, honor and treasure it. To be part of it is nothing you can take for granted.”
That was the last time her mother has told her and Klarin a bedtime story back then.
All these words were coming back to her now and like a reflex she turned her head and looked at Eusin next to her rather than Suicune, studying his gestures and expressions like her mother told her to.
And she knew suddenly, her mom was right.
As beautiful and special as the elegant cat-Pokémon might was as it disappeared over the waves into the ocean’s vast distance; to see a grown up with such an face full of honesty and warmth, innocence and veneration for a wild beast was indeed something you could not take for granted in nowadays society.
Even months (or were it years?) after this incident - after Eusin gave her space to approach Suicune and catch it; after he said it was obvious it had chosen her rather than him; after he thanked her for the show she gave him and he bid his goodbyes – his face from the time at the beach would stuck in her head. Making her wonder, if she already had her own defining moment and if, what that moment was and why she wasn’t aware at that time about it.
Even here, as she woke up and got up from the camp, she, Klarin and Silver had sat up for the night, the image stuck in her mind.
Lyra’s body was aching. She and the boys had set out for a training travel throughout the country like back then, with the only difference that not each of them was alone on their way but they traveled and trained in the group of three.
That training was harsh for both, the trainers and their Pokémon teams and the girl could feel it in every muscle as she went to the nearby clear pond to get a drink.
As she finished and looked up, a slight dimmed light caught her attention. For the teenager (now almost a young adult), this light was nothing new. Of course it was Suicune standing there, paying her a visit. All legendary Pokémon she and the boys ever caught did once in a while, since the day the three decided to let them go.
Those legends had better things to do than fighting in unnecessary battles and be exposed to the public just like that. They were supposed to feed dreams, to fuel people’s fantasy.
None the less, those creatures seemed to take a delight in visiting their ex-owners now and then at unknown times.
So Lyra smiled warmly, as the blue-ish cat approached her and softly nudged her belly. She let a hand ran through the soft fur of the nose-ridge and down to the chin, giving her longtime friend some careful crawling. Its happy expression made her giggle as she felt reminded of Eusin’s face once again, slightly laughing at the actual similarities he and the big blue here seemed to share.
If it was this or something else that caused that, Lyra could not tell. All she could do was noticing it when the words already had passed her lips:
“You never really chose me, did you? You just knew you would have to leave again someday and couldn’t stand the thought of breaking his heart when you did so.”
The only answer she received from Suicune was that it opened its eyes and gave her a content look.
