Don't be afraid to use harder contrasts. Especially in the foreground it could help improving the illusions of depth/distance. I like your work on the upper half, but the lower half of the painting appears pretty flat to me. Not something you would want for landscape art.
If you're aiming for a scene that spreads over a very large distance you might want to try 'fogging' the background a bit.
