Amusing Astronomical Event #2
Another random straight-to-scraps photo. Please forgive the crappy quality, it was rather hastily taken (being an event of about 10 seconds in length).
I believe this to be Venus alongside a crescent moon and a random plane. I imagine there will be a better photo op as the evening progresses. Lol, starting to think I should get a tripod to mount on the edge of my attic window so I can do longer exposures!
*edit* You may find Jupiter is still visible almost directly below the pair - about 3-4x the separation distance :) Sadly my camera just can't handle the brightness contrast of moon and stars in the same picture, so you'll have to go out and see it yourselves. Anywhere in the northern hemisphere, from sunset for the next 2-3 hours should do!
