A story can go along with this picture. Written by a friend of mine.
I had to get away from him. There was something creepy in the way he just kept flashing that little smile. It was like he knew some great secret about me or something. I’d stayed here long enough anyway, Gods only know why I agreed to eat with him in the first place, but it’d been forever since I saw him. Ten years at least.
For a snow leopard, he wasn’t bad-looking, I suppose. He had dark blue eyes and when he laughed, he had a wonderful smile, but nothing was enough to make me want to stay any longer.
“Well, it’s been fun, and thanks for letting me have dinner, but I’ve got to get back.”
“Oh come on, can’t you stay a little longer?”
“No, I won’t make it back before dark if I do.”
“That’s too bad, I was hoping I could enjoy your company a bit longer Claire.”
Definitely time to go. I grabbed my old cloak and threw it on. I was gonna have to get a new one before too much longer, it had enough stitched up holes I’m surprised it stayed together at all. I didn’t even notice until now, but it was getting way colder than it should’ve been. I was gonna have to hurry, there was probably a storm coming, and I did not wanna get caught in it. I was too late.
Gods it was cold. The wind picked up and the snow was starting to lift, before too much longer it was going to be impossible to see. Was that footsteps? No, probably nothing but my imagination.
“Hey Claire.” Oh great, he was following me.
Stopping, I turned around to face him, hopefully I’d just forgotten something.
Quickly ducking, I avoided the claw to my face – well, mostly. I could feel a wet line across my muzzle where he caught me with a claw, but I didn’t feel any pain. Probably the adrenaline. Jumping back, I bared my teeth at him and started to reach for my knife, but he was quicker. He caught me in the mouth with his fist. I tasted blood. I hurriedly staggered back a few steps, out of reach.
“What are you doing? What do you want from me?!” I screamed at him.
“I just want you to come back and spend some more time with me. We could ride out the storm together, share a warm fire and each other’s company.”
“How about you go to Hell?”
There was that smile again, the creep. He wasn’t gonna get that from me willingly.
I had my paw around my knife. I was sure be ready the next time. Too bad he was so much quicker than me. He punched me in the stomach, and I doubled over, but I managed to keep my paw on my knife. He was trying to get his arms around my throat; I didn’t have a choice anymore. I stabbed him just under the ribs. Then again, and again. I stabbed him until he fell on top of me. I scrambled away, but there wasn’t any reason to move fast anymore. He was dead. The back of my head was wet. I didn’t even want to think about what it was.
