Written by John Newton and first published in 1779. I don't like a lot of praise music because much of it is, to me, too over the top. Kinda like a food that has too much seasoning in it. But I like this one, enjoy singing it and it means something to me, so I chose it to be the first song I record myself singing for upload here.

It took me 3 or more takes with each verse before I was satisfied with each verse. I did this totally acapella with no musical accompaniment, not even listening to music through headphones.
