I made this quilt when... I wanna say I was thirteen or fourteen years old? That's when the photo was taken. It's still my favorite, though now almost eleven years later the black backing, along with most of the other stuff, is quite faded ^^;; I learned how to do this by watching my best friend's mom at her machine one day, and it just came naturally to me . I loved every minute of the three days it took to make it.
The photo properties say it was taken in 1999. HOWEVER. I didn't know my best friend until around 2002, so I know my grandma just made a mistake setting up her digital camera XDDD
Materials are quilting cotton, cotton-poly thread, clear polyester thread, and polyester fiber batting. The borders are black with blue flames, then the squares are as follows from the top left corner toward the right: black with orange flames and blue dragons, orange and yellow marble flame batik stuff, and blue with clouds, moons and stars. The whole quilt was sewn on my great-grandmother's Necchi sewing machine on a box on my bedroom floor.
Sorry for the photo quality. It's a copy of a copy of a copy. I'll upload the original when and if I ever find it. And you not gets to see mah face, sorreh.
Thanks to
jaguarundikin for inspiring me to post it ^_^

I am glad this lovely quilt can now be shared with others! My housemates like it a lot too. It is nice that you added the details on its making, I should do that. And I am glad it is well-loved rather than put away for "someday."
I hope you are able to find time/interest to follow up and do other quilting, especially since working on it made you happy!
