I had one o themz once in the house I grew up in. Thing lived in a hole in the house right UNDER my room. Scared the hell out of me all the time. We'd throw small pieces of bark, 2inch piece of a stick or the rare grasshopper in there to pester it.

I think the main thing that weirds me out about them spider-rific bastards, is the "twitch" to move the legs. Frightens the hell out o me.

Wow! Black widows are rarely seen around my county.

In fact, has there ever been Black Widows in my county?!?!

Well, we do have a spider that is about the size of a small plum, they are usually fat and orange and golfball shaped.

My mom calls them Sharlette's Web spiders, or something.

Don't get bit! I love spiders, they're gorgeous creatures, but even I'm nervous towards the more poisonous types.

This is true. :) And you can count on her being there a long time. Generally once the species establishes a place they stay there throughout their lifetime. You should name her.

Wow, cool! We get black widows here, but I've only seen one once in my whole life... Those things are dangerous man, watch out! Nice clear photo, btw, you can even make out its web a little bit! Kudos!
