of the Russian kind...from my squadron spook who gave me the Bear photo, this is of a Flanker that got way too close to an F 14, and the RIO shot the picture. photo from 1988 or 1989.

heh, I can imagine the cockpit chatter between the two F 14s, story I got was that this Flanker pilot was pretty aggresive too, and touched one Tomcat resulting in some minor damage to the F14, and a badly damaged vertical stab for the Flanker
