
I figured I might as well submit this, too. I'm working on a partial, my first ever, to maybe wear to Animenext 2012. It's supposed to be a traditional, woodblock- print looking japanese fox. This was yesterday's work..

Yeah, that was originally my problem too :( But it turns out there's a little leeway, and once you cut the basic curved pieces off you can pretty much flatten them with your hand. then trace the pattern onto fur (In the right direction), cut it out, and glue it onto the base. it's worked for me so far. But try to take the flattest pieces to draw the cutting line on (both sides of muzzle, forehead, ect. Don't try to cut out the whole face or you probably wont be able to flatten it very well, lol.) I'm a newbie at this and I didn't really use a tutorial, but so far the furring has been ok, so I hope this helps!
