Hey there folks ^_^ Here's my last new character at the moment so I hope you enjoy him!
Say hi to Brandon “Babyface” Bonfauve, born in Lilycove City this roly poly fellow is a 16 (almost 17) year old junior at the PCA, the youngest child out of five, and a normally nice guy with some issues.
The youngest of five children from a purugly father and linoone mother Brandon has always been a rather happy, laid back fellow usually seen with a happy smile on his face. He’s a bit awkward, slow, and clumsy but he’s never let that get to him. In fact he takes any comment about his weight or clumsiness in stride either agreeing with it or brushing it off with a good natured laugh. What DOES get to him though is any comment referring to him as being a “Baby” or being young… which is unfortunate due to his cute, childish looking face having earned him the nickname “Babyface” to the point that more kids in the school know him by that than his real name.
You see being the youngest of five kids he’s always been the “Baby” of the family. Even when his older siblings moved out and started their own lives his parents always coddled him as if he was still a toddler who was too little to be trusted with responsibility (the fact he was shorter than average didn’t help him there either) and he’s always HATED it. He was barely able to convince them to let him go to the PCA and even then he has to update them constantly and visit home whenever possible. Whenever somebody refers to him as little, young, or worst of all baby he pitches a fit… an adorable and childish fit involving whining and pouting that doesn’t do a thing to prove his maturity. A lot of people call him by his nickname just for his reaction. Not often you see a grown linoone stomping his foot and pouting.
When not having a temper tantrum he’s generally a nice guy… just a little slow when it comes to getting things done, which is a trait that immediately vanishes in the arena. When fighting Brandon uses a straight out offensive blitz style that tries to take the opponent out as fast as possible before he goes down himself. Usually starting with Belly Drum he often follows up with his favorite combo, Defense Curl and Rollout which puts his chubbiness to good use. Failing that he has moves like Shadow Claw, Headbutt, Rock Smash, Slash, and Strength to follow up with. He is also fond of using his Covet and Fling combo to take the opponents hold item (if they have one) and hit them with it. Besides Defense Curl his only defensive moves are Protect and Thunder Wave along with Odor Sleuth so his Normal type moves can hit ghosts. He also happens to know Mud Slap… but he’s gotten so many “playing in the mud” comments that he dislikes using it.
Miscellaneous Facts
- Despite his insistence that he’s NOT a baby he still has several childish traits besides his temper tantrums. He sleeps with his favorite raichu plushie tucked safely under his arm (in childish Pikachu print jammies I might add), whines like a toddler every time he has to get up, enjoys Saturday morning cartoons almost religiously, and when stressed and nobody’s looking he occasionally falls back on his old habit of thumb sucking.
- Having grown up doing whatever his “Mommy & Daddy” told him has left Brandon rather submissive to anyone larger and more authoritative that him… especially ladies. When confronted by one he usualy tends to shrink down and do whatever they ask with a submissive “yes Ma’am”… luckily not many people know about this.
- Since he rarely (aka never) gets any responsibilities or chores while at home he usually JUMPS at the chance to get them at the PCA be it cleaning, cooking , or other tasks. Unfortunately his clumsiness and lack of experience means he messes these things up about 50% of the time.
- He is one of Brigitte’s “Friends” much to his misery since the ghost tends to treat him like a little brother and he’s fairly certain she’s the one who started spreading the “Babyface” nickname around. Unfortunately there’s not much he can do about it since she finds him cuddly and his little tantrums adorable.
- He actually has an adorably chubby and smooth baby bottom to go with his childish looking face… but he does everything he can to hide it.
