I knew I wanted textures on this, but now that I look closer, it does appear more aged paper than watercolor. I believe I used several texture layers, which is why no one stands our and came out looking as such. Still think it fits what I was going for, though. Especially since someone used this to make a meme for me :B
Yeah, I think it worked out quite nicely. Reminds me of Okami- style art (the Japanese uekake watercolor sort of thing). It's not much of a difference, but jarring enough to direct attention to itself.
Could be a new style you could incorporate. It can just add to the itchiness. :P
