Just a silly idea I had about what might have happened the first time 
Gem (on the right) met me (on the left). (Gem has a pink plushie bunny named Fish. No, Grub isn't her only plushie!)
I made the sandbox and all the playground stuff using Blender -- yes, I made a geodesic dome climbing thing and tried to texture it to look like some of its paint is coming off, and I made a duck on a spring and unwrapped it and UV-mapped it and textured it, and all of that. This is what I was working on in this WIP. 3D modeling is interesting. Obviously, Gem, Grub, Fish, myself, and the sand pail and shovel aren't made with Blender. I doubt I'm going to do all my backgrounds with Blender, but it is fun to experiment with.
Gem reminded me that this is one end of an art trade -- I got all excited about getting this drawing done and forgot about that when I was writing this comment at first, so I added this part later. :)

wow wow wow Jennie Yoo made freedee stuff? Thats super clever and im in awee! Yep yoo really do look a lot like Fish, although fish is much much MUCH way way wayyyyy grubbier than yoo he is practically toxic, I really should put him in the wash *giggles* Fankyoo soo much. i should hopefully have a pic for you by the weekend *hugs*
I'm just glad you like it! :) I imagine we got the confusion worked out because I'm the one that eats more. ^_^
Like a lot of other things I try, I just wondered if it would work to use a 3D thingie to make the background. Now if only I really knew what I was doing. :)

Just make sure it's really Fish you put in the wash -- last time I climbed into the clothes dryer I got in trouble!

I just thought maybe some 3D software would help with backgrounds -- I mean, sure, I can draw these things too, but they're not the stars of the show; they're just there to establish the scene, to let us know where this is happening. I'm not that good with it yet -- don't ask me to model a tricycle or something complicated like that. And I wouldn't use a model someone else made; I'd want to make it myself. :)
