Just a moment from my Equestria dreamscape. It was late afternoon and I was coming home from one of my flying lessons. Landing behind our cottage I noticed that Carousel had also come home from here day of making deliveries for ponies and that her little cart was parked alongside the cottage and not in shed/ barn. There was no rain scheduled for the next couple days. Washing my hooves in the wash basin by the backdoor I entered the cottage through the kitchen, and hung up my panniers on their hook by the pantry. Dinner seemed to progressing nicely so I went into the main room of the cottage.
Carousel was on the sofa lying on her belly; as she is want to do she was stretching out her hind legs to help recover from a day of pulling her cart all over Ponyville. Her attention was on book about gardening that she had borrowed from the Ponyville Library. The autumn afternoon sun was throwing golden orange rays of light through the window and onto her and the sofa. The lighting also did an excellent job highlighting the curves of Carousel's back and flank. Petina was out running errands so after a quick series of greetings I went to check on the status of dinner in kitchen.

Reminds me of an exchange from Here Comes the Brides[i]. A traveling troop of Shakespearean actors double as thieves during performances, and Jason Bolt (who wasn't in town when it was visited) joins them to learn the truth. One of the brides questions Jason's knowledge of Shakespeare, which he quickly dispels. His final comment was along the lines of, "What did you [i]think we did on those long winter nights?"
She looks so lovely. I bet she would have enjoyed getting a back rub right about then for her poor sore muscles.
And something I just thought of: how does the Ponyville weather patrol decide what sort of weather the town will get? And does Ponyville ever have to deal with unexpected and oddball weather from its proximity to the Everfree Forest?

Yes she would and she does get them from Petina and I, but then again I get back rubs from them if I come back from a hard day of flying lessons.

The weather for Ponyville is calculated in Cloudsdale by the weather service, and is based on data concerning the local farming and environmental needs. That being said yes Ponyville does have to deal with wild weather coming out of the Everfree Forest which is not scheduled, and therefore Ponyville has a pretty hefty weather detail for a small community located so deep in the heart of Equestria. In fact my initial arrival in Ponyville was at first thought to be some of that wild untamed weather.

Yes, she really is looking forward to next spring and getting to use the little plow we're fixing up on our plot of land. She has also been asking Applejack a constant stream of questions concerning gardening and farming. Also Twilight is becoming very familiar with the earth pony's presence at the library where she is checking out books on a routine basis.
I just try to recreate the images that appear in my dreams. Also Equestria is one of those places that just seems to encourage this feeling of tranquility and to some degree innocence. Even Petina has commented on it and she can sometimes be a very jaded individual.
Whew! Had to catch up with everything that had happened lately. If you have no problem, I'd like to comment about it here.
That speech Firewing gave you after the flight evaluation sounds suspicious. He might too have been trying to get rid of you when he kicked you in the face, what with you and Petina being "dangerous" and all. He sounds conservative enough about what a "true" pony is "supposed to be" to try to do something crazy, and it might involve catching fire. Watch your back.
Just for curiosity, do your dreamscape's ponies know about humans? If so, what do they think of them? In my personal canon from the show I don't think they mind us. They seem to be too nice to hate us or see us as inherently evil monsters, a la the Na'vi from Avatar. At the very least, I don't think they see themselves as superior to humans simply for not being humans. (One of the reasons I didn't like that movie, actually -the Na'vi were so arrogant and full of themselves about how much they "luff'd Mother Nature, unlike those eeeeevil humans who should all go die in a fire". I still want to punch James Cameron in the face)
*looks at Carol* ... Dat.... every single inch of her body

Now I do not believe that he was trying to kill me. Firewing is very conservative and is sworn to protect the kingdom of Equestria and the Royal Sisters. Therefore he is very suspicious of anything that can disrupt the stability of the realm. He is a good stallion not a nice stallion.

In my version of Equestria ponies know of the humanoid form, if nothing else Spike and the Diamond Dogs, but they know nothing of Homo Sapiens. The only three ponies in the dreamscape who know what I really am are Petina, Celestia, and Luna. Not even the other mane six have been given the complete briefing, and myself and Petina have been asked not to discuss it for the time being. Even Carousel has been asked by the Royal Sisters to refrain from mentioning that she is bipedal in her other form.

Yeah she is easy on the eyes.

If you hadn't explained (with a good reason) why she was posed like that, I would've pointed it out that it would be odd to lay like that for a pony... But that doesn't seem to be neccesary xD
Now, random question time... I know that you and Petina at the very least are friends... and I know that Petina shows up in different dreamscapes of yours... So my question is, is that friend-status constant over all the dreamscapes, or does it vary? And if it varies, does it vary independantly from dreamscape to dreamscapes, or are all the Petinas the same character?
...
And, would that be considered a personal question? Etiquette when concerning dreamscapes is somewhat vague to me. xD

Yeah she just remained in that position for a couple minutes then shifted to a more natural position.

If you me are Petina and I are sexual partners the answer is yes and that is true across all dreamscapes. She gets the mouse version me and the pony version of me in Equestria. In the same way Rosemary gets Raccoon number 2. Smudge always gets number 1! And no matter where or in what form she is in Petina is the same character. Knows who she is, what she can get away with, and won't give an inch on the topic. Trust me I've lost the argument too many times to bring it up anymore.
