
This is actually only one half of a diptych. My phone just is dumb and apparently doesn't have a copy of the second painting on it, even though I swear I took like four pictures. XP
It's basically the same thing.
The assignment was to do two paintings, one in warm colors, and one in cool ones. The teacher suggested we do a pattern of plain squares. I elected to put crocodilians in said squares.
I'll get the alligators up, too, once I have a photo. XD

I forgot to mention that we could only do it with three tubes of paint.
And not red, yellow and blue, either. I had green, blue-grey, and brownish orangy red. Painting multiple ranges of tones is tricky with limited colors like that.
I actually enjoy working with limited colors, mostly because using more than a couple involves effort, and I'm lazy. XD You can get a lot of awesome stuff with just two or three paints, I've found.
