The Badge of the Empire's Star Corps from my Dresk War series (see Lucy's Soldiers in my gallery). Dark Blue represents night and endless space, the red flower represents the Imperial Family and the Empire itself, while the gold star symbolises both the Empress's authority to rule the stars and the Star Corps goal to bring even more star systems under the Imperial Banner. It is tied in with the official motto of the Corps, "Conquer or die", which highlights not only their chief aim but their loyalty to the cause.
