YAY! I finished this piece I've owed Shimi for like, a thousand and three years! I noticed that he was using the WIP as an LJ avatar, which made me feel guilty, so I finished it. The file was so old that it came from a time when I really had no clue what I was doing with Photoshop. (Not that I know much more now...) So I spent the first few hours just fixing up what I'd already done, like re-drawing the outlining and cursing the fact that I'd done all the black shading on one layer. Also, some of the anatomy sucks, and I don't know what I was thinking. But it seems to have turned out well enough for all that.

I was just going to give Shul-bar Zohar (the green one) glowing eyes, but he insisted that they be firey eyes. o.0 Perhaps I went a little overboard with all the glowy stuff, but I like it. They are in some sort of spiritual vortex type place, so I figured I could get away with weird lighting.

When I started with the concept for this, I had wanted to emphasize how the three individual forms are all really one and the same being. I thought about their features and colors and tried to blend them into one another. I like how it turned out in part because of all the circular motion around the image, and how you can pretty much just choose a color and follow it around in a circle.

This was done in Photoshop. There's about 35 layers.
