Commission for
kaitheshadowfox. Sketches, inks, and value in Paint Tool Sai; post-work in Photoshop. My first piece colored on the new tablet PC -- the inks were done on the Cintiq just before it died. Took about two weeks out of my already slow process, but I'm getting used to it now and I think my workflow is going to be a lot less crazy now.
I THINK this is okay to be in general? These characters are all designed with the "naked isn't really naked" furry style, so... :D Let me know if anyone's put off and I'll happily toss a mature tag on there. I'm not so great with this sometimes.
P.S. when you design a throne and plan to put a gap in between the arms and the back, make sure it's obvious so it doesn't look like you just drew somebody's tail sticking through solid stone. oi! i don't think those shadows quite make it clear. *points out flaws to everybody*

I just became the owner of an Asus eee slate ep121. It's a rough adjustment, and the pressure is about half, but given the upsides -- once you're used to it it definitely has enough pros to be considered as an alternative. I couldn't afford to replace the Cintiq yet, and realized that being able to do my work wherever I wanted would be worth a little limping from the starting line again.
for $1200 it's absolutely 100% worth it. my cintiq cost me $2400... but the ep121 -- well, let's just say i did a good portion of the inks for my upcoming commission in a beauty salon, in a car while waiting on people to pick up groceries, and in bed. so yeah. it's worth it. X3
