How is Painter? I've wanted to get Painter X for a while, because I heard
it emulates traditional medium well. I've been using the same old
Photoshop 5.0 since it came out.

It's a lot like Photoshop, so it's no too difficult to handle.
While Photoshop has not so many brushes (they're very much alike) - Painter got TONS of them, too many to grasp at once, so each time I needed to try only a few.
But the greatest thing about Painter is the blender, it's just like magic.
You can create really neat pictures with this tool with little effort.

Still - Photoshop is great and easy to deal with, so it's my fav :)

I've been using PS5 for ages and I'm very used to it. I make my own
brushes to fit what I need. Photoshop 5.0 can probably do the same
quality painting as Painter, though I just need to figure out how to do
each effect manually. ^.^
