This is the very ending to a story I wrote for my good friend
vulpes-wolf's epic and sexy "Curse of the Lipomancer" interactive on Writing.com. As I wrote, I found my newly-grown conscience wavering, and I just couldn't kill these characters as horrifically as I meant to.
The story begins here: http://www.writing.com/main/interac.....53322222222222
If you're so inclined, you can even branch off at many points, and carry his story in a new direction entirely! Such is the beauty of the interactive.
I definitely encourage you to check out the rest of his work, too!
I AM BAD AT DESCRIPTIONS. STOPPING NOW.

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it.
I started the whole story on a lark, but Sid grew on me before I had even finished properly introducing him, and somehow I saw this would be a perfect ending for him. I actually had to scrap the first version of this, because it was turning into less of an "Epilogue" and more "The Continuing Adventures of..." I did try to keep the best details, though.
The little lovey-dovey moments couples share can be just as powerful as the big, climactic ones, I think.

Personally, I wouldn't mind if their adventures DID continue, though I admit I mainly want to see more lovey-dovy chub/chaser weight gain goodness. x3
Aside from that, your writing is very strong. You describe things very well and do a good job of developing these characters. Also, I agree wholeheartedly - those small moments can be just as significant as the big ones. It's the little moments that happen most day-to-day, and they make life worth living and a purpose for those days to continue as long as they can.

I've been tempted, though mostly to branch off at a point in their past, as I like the ambiguous sort of "Thriller" ending, if you will. Of course, any branching off would only end horribly for both of them, due to the nature of the story whence they originated, but they'd have their moments.
Thank you! I really like a story best when I can empathize with the characters, really get invested in their lives, and I try to make sure all my readers have the same experience. I'm glad I come off as describing things well, because I can't seem to do that IRL, haha. I'm more of the "Dammit, move and let me do it" type.
Many of my characters are conflicted in their ways, wondering what their lives have come to, etc, and I do love to let them see the light in the little things. Give them something more to fight for, and such.
And not to toot my own horn, or nothing, but just about anything in my gallery (I think; it;s been a while since I looked in there) that isn't marked "Default" has weight gain, and generally yaoi. "Change for the Fatter" has GIRLS (*gasp*), and some fledgling attempts at TF; a gift for a friend. I keep hearing good things about "A Recipe for Karma", and while it is about 116 pages, that's packed with WG and yaoi just about cover to cover.
Anywhom, thanks so much for commenting! It's always great to hear from people who have read a story of mine.

Does their story have to end horribly? :C There must be a way they can have a happy life together and still indulge both their interests in making the wolf ever fattah~
It really shows, that you connect so much with the characters. When I read this, I see one ideal scenario, ideal lifestyle between a chaser and his chub (though saying that is over-generalizing the story, I know).
The little things matter. Life proves this again and again. Haha, I'll have to do a more thorough exploration of your gallery x3 I have a biiiiiit of a weakness for dudes with dudes and one gettin' unstoppably fattah~.
You're very welcome! I know how that is x3 My work isn't at the level of emotional connection and detail as yours is, but I do love to get feedback on my stories. I AM an English major, after all. x3 Even if I draw more than write. >3>

What kind of furry would I be if I didn't spiral into depression, and make and treat my characters like a 13 year-old emo girl? Everything is just so dark, you guys, you have no idea. *puts on Linkin Park*
This is their happiest ending. The one Jules got for saving all the citizens, making sure his daughter had Zombrex, getting the S Rank on all Paladin missions. And Sid's Best Ending because he looked up a walkthrough, and let others do the hard work for him, while taking it easy and enjoying himself.
Victories for the characters in the source material these two spawned from are rare and fleeting. There is a force of evil beyond mortal comprehension working against them, and this force has had a long time to perfect his dastardly plans, and to learn how to adapt to any situation. Defeat does not necessarily mean death for the heroes. More often than not, they are freed from worries and woes, and given means to indulge their gluttony eternally. So, to the next wave of heroes, their stories ended badly. But to the characters themselves, well, they don't see it that way.
I'm not saying a continuation is entirely out of the question, but for now, I like where they are, and I have many more ideas of how to get dudes hooking up with other dudes for some fatty fantasies to realize.
That's never not true, actually. I'll probably be writing until I keel over of forgetting to eat one too many times. With my last, dying breath, I shall leave a note that begins "If you're reading this, my plan to become immortal by hiding from Death in my mountaintop writing retreat has gone awry..."

I actually have a real problem with making my stories dark, or writing bad things happening to my characters. :x I love them too much! T__T
Well... I can deal with their ending being happy just for them, after all a life indulging in such gluttony can be heaven for the right people and a horrible fate to those who don't "get it." Pshaw, I'm sure they'll be quite happy, stuffing Sid's greedy cute wolf face until he's bigger than the bed, then they can work on his bulk bursting the walls apart... sorry. :x I think about this sorta thing now and then. >3>
That's fair, I'm not gonna push you (too hard) to continue this, you should write what you feel you should be writing. :3
You are a writer, then, while I am a hobbyist artist who writes now and then. I'm pretty ashamed of that. T_T Good show, good sir.
