Ring Portraits Batch 1
So I had an idea. Scary, I know. Started out as giftart for luthiennightwolf and theronblackthorn because they have both done so much for me in the past little while. Then I got to thinking about other awesome folks who I haven't done shit for in a while and said 'wow, I should do something for them too'.
The point of these drawings is that they are TINY (no larger than 3.5 x 3.5 inches). Starts off with a uniform circle with a portrait of the character inside. Around the circle I drew things that reminded me of each of the characters pictured. From top to bottom:
luthiennightwolf---She loves Monarch butterflies and natural springy stuff. So she gets flowers.
theronblackthorn---He follows the path of Norse religion and his character's past has a lot of those influences, so I gave him some Nordic themed stuff.
dj_359---Golden Poppies for his home state of California, a railway lantern and tracks for his rail-fan hobby, and tools of the trade at the top for being a mechanic.
skyler-ragnarok---I drew Skyler as I see him in the stories he and I write with his character and mine, Okari. Japanese themed. Cherry blossoms remind him of his lover, Okari, as does the nightingale. The jade pendant is a gift Okari gave to him before he left, and the symbol on the paper of the wind chime is his clan's symbol for "warrior"...one he earned.
tibbywolf---Deyna with a beachy theme because she loves da water!
blackie5150---Blackie being a flirty and adorable little bastard in front of a city skyline on a river somewhere. Most likely Memphis. He's an awesome musical talent, so I drew music shit around him. Derp!
Anyway, I'm thinking of offering these as commissions. Would anyone be interested?

I was hoping that would come at the end of the description. I might finally be able to afford some Wielder artz if little ones come with little price tags. =3
These are really beautiful and personal and for the size appear to be pretty highly detailed.

It is actually extremely hard for me to even pick a favorite, I CAN'T HOLD ALL THESE FEELINGS
The details, the colors! I love the gold poppies on DJ's, and oh god that lantern. I have two lanterns myself, and they are the best things ever.
Deyna's hair goes so perfectly with her background, and sjfhdjgh Blackie's badge, omg, FUCK YES GIBSON GUITARS! So damn sassy.
I have a few artsyfart questions, I hope you don't mind! How do you do the white outlining on some objects, such as around Luthien's butterfly or... well, around everyone's background! Do you use a special ~~magix white marker~~ or do you just make sure to not go over those lines whilst coloring? XD And second question, your lineart, omg. It's so thin but so great. Like when I look at that seahorse or the flowers, their lineart is so thin. I know if I tried that with my fat clunky marker everything would turn out FAT AND CLUNKY. 8[
