Another chunk of something knocked loose by Poetigress' weekly prompt! This one might be vaguely mysterious and hard to understand--but then, how much can you expect to find out about someone if you intercept only one of their pieces of correspondence?

In a way, the poem made me kind of sad...it doesn't really balance the sibling's point of view if you remember that the song was made in the past...somewhere between the times that the snake felt these things, and the end of her life; a life where her natural children had stayed in touch but this other foster child did not.
