Easter time with Mr. Herriman (Old fan art from "FHFIF")
Another old art, and yes, it is on grid paper.
It was in 2007 that I did this art, and at that time, my favourite show, "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends" was on. It was one of the best shows I saw on Cartoon Network before its epic downhill to unpopularity. I liked the show a lot, and did this art in my spare time while at the University of Kentucky ( sorry to rub it in, but as of the day before I submitted this, the Wildcats won a Men's NCAA basketball championship. )
Compared to the other art, I feel like I improved from this. The one blunder you may see is on his right: if you look closely, I was about to put a thought balloon, but I changed my mind and could not erase it.
Seeing how serious, somewhat stern and chappy leporid (I say he's a hare than rabbit-longer ears.), he does have is lighter side, and sometimes funny sides in his life. Yes, since it was close to Easter when I did this, he was the perfect character for this art. Well, I posted this now to wish everyone a Happy Easter. Enjoy the holiday!
(He's saying, "Ah, Easter. My favorite holiday to celebrate in spring. Nice Breezes, and plenty of kids to come to Fosters," in case you can't read what's in the quote balloon.)
