You come through with much stronger vocals that seem to have an uncanny form of clarity. The song is most beautifully done, and sounds a bit easier for you to sing now. If you're still working on it, I can't wait to see how you could possibly improve upon it.

I isn't as comfortable to sing as it could be but it isn't terrible. It just gives a different sound to my voice which I don't know if I like. I'm glad other people enjoy it though. Thank you x

Goodness! I read this comment and was so taken aback by it. I felt my singing wasn't very pleasant here, it was another of those songs I chose to try to do down low instead of up high. It took me a while to choose the key for this, and I kept wanting to sing it really high. It just didn't sound right up there, I think because it is originally sung by a man.

Is there anything you can pin point that makes you prefer this singing to my usual efforts? I'm very interested, as I don't have much of a liking for it and I'm out of my comfort zone. I'd appreciate some more feedback :)

Well, it's a purely subjective impression of course, which is why I added the "might be mistaken" part to my first post.
Frankly I just had to compare this one by listening to a few earlier posts of yours to get a better idea of what exactly gave me the impression.

I think it is a) a wider vocal range used, especially the lower key - which again is a matter of personal preference I guess and b) the usage of the second harmony voice track, which is something you did before obviously, but seems to be a lot more noticable in this track because of the wider spread of tones and c) the clearing up of the recording done by your friend meeya - very clear and crisp which is just fine with a mainly vocal based song of course, though I'll have to stay in a very very few select moments I felt the dynamics were on the edge to a bit of fizzing.

Though thinking about my last sentence, that might as well have to do with the headphones I'm using right now, I'll verify that later on with a different pair.

Hope I was able to give off something useful in my (more or less) broken english for you madame - your work is always greatly appreciated as well.

Just listened again with a different pair, the hissing was definitely not in the recording.
Also, I managed to spot the one or the other part where I think I can hear why you could possibly not 100% pleased with this, though to me it is really very very little.
If I'm not mistaken you usually don't do your songs on a key this low, so I don't think you should overrate it - I'm pretty sure if you'd do a few more you'll be just fine with singing in this pitch, too

Beautifully sung, you truly do have one of the most amazing voices I have ever heard ^^

It's always odd for me hearing compliments on my singing when songs like this are a bit different to my usual singing range/style. I always worry about my singing like this, but people say it sounds better than usual. I'm so grateful for your feedback, thank you so much. I am so honoured to receive this amount of praise.

Keane are my favourite group and I really like the little changes you've put in the song to make it your own.

Omg! Keane fan! They also my most favourite. I was lucky to get to see them on the 30th of Nov :3! they were amazing.

I love their music and Tom's voice. I recorded this before they released the album so I only had a live recording of them doing it acoustically to go from. The final version is soooo nice. I was thinking I'd redo it but actually I'd rather do some light covers of something else. I recorded a few rough ones but Neon on the River and Disconnected actually sounded good as little acoustic pieces with no fuss. I hope to upload them soon but waiting on my friend to clean the audio.

Yeh, Tom does have a really nice voice... He can be so calm or energetic with it, though I liked hearing Tim sing Your Love too.
And what a coincidence, I got to see them on the 29th up in the Manchester Arena! They were so good, just as good live as recorded. I couldn't stop singing their songs for a week after. =P

But you're even more skilled if you managed to pick this up from a live recording. Wow.

Man I love Neon River and Day Will Come. The latter is so great to drive and sing to! I also tried Black Rain which is so pretty, and my friend On FA is making a backing track for Silenced by the Night. So I'm supposed to sing that too! I think I'm going to end up covering the whole bloody album at this rate. I also adore Myth, Strangeland, Starting Line and Run With Me. Have you heard my other covers? I did a few older songs, one with Foxamoore which he made so pretty.

So glad you enjoyed my little cover of this. I did this before the album actually launched and there was only a demo of the song on youtube. I was so happy hearing the final version of it (different lyrics if I recall). :) This was a really good album, I have covered a few tracks from it. I think I would be able to do a different version of this song now I have a lot of good equipment/VSTs and can play the piano. Back when I did this I didn't have anything to work with.

You should definitely check Tom's album out. Some really nice stuff on there. I wasn't 100% taken by it (I got the deluxe version to boot), but definitely some beautiful tracks on it :)! I like Hardened Heart, Still Waiting, Love Wins, I Remember You, among others. There was a song I also heard beforehand that Tom did, but it didn't make the album which was a bit sad. Maybe you should give it a go? Hopes and Fears is a brilliant album! I like everything on it, particularly love On a Day Like Today and The Frog Prince. I covered that one too actually, a while ago before I had EW libraries and I think even before I had a sustain pedal with my piano.
