Oh! I'm so jealous. The few CXes we got in the states had the dash replaced by a boring one. Citroens are always so exciting!

We got these dashboardes too.

Most CX were imported by CXA, a private seller which was not linked to Citroën or Peugeot (Peugeot own Citroën in 1976) and also, there was a law in the Us which made the Citroên hydro-pneumatic systeme illegal, in 1973, that explain why Citroën leaves the Us market.
Some Mercedes using the Citroën suspension also dissapeared from the Us market, but this law was obviously against Citroën.
Talk about "free market" lol!

The law was abroged during the eighties and so CXA only got the CX "serie II" with the second dashboard, plastic bumpers and minor changes.

But some CX "Serie I" were imported in the US, so open your eyes, and if you see a Cx with stainless steel bumpers, there will be the crazy first dashboard inside ^^

The chairman of East Germany had a stretch version of the CX and also a armoured one.

Yep, heard about that one. I still prefer the regular one ^^oh maybe a Limousine for the fun of it.

I love your cars! :) I just love older cars like this, especially ones you don't see in America like Citroens, Peugeots, or Renaults (to name three). :)

Thanks you. I don'thave the CX anymore, it was too much work on the body, I sold it to someone with more skills than me to get it fixed. But one day I'll have a pristine one again.

I didn't know that. :D I just said some of my favorite car brands that I don't ever get to see since I live in the US. I never knew that Peugeot and Renault were both French car brands. That's actually really neat! :)
That's a shame. On the bright side though, we can rest assured knowing that it will be on the road again, right? :)

Oh yes, it will be. Probably not before one or two years but it will be on the road again for sure ^^
