
Yeah yeah, more fanart. But this pretty much sums up how I've felt today. In Alan wake you can take refuge in streetlamp lights. They heal you and the monsters can't attack as long as you're in the beam. Of course the monsters also will yank the wires and disable the lights when they can so they're not a completely safe refuge.
One of the reasons why I've been doing these so obsessively is that the format of light versus darkness gives me so many different opportunities to play with dynamic lighting and shade, not to mention all the emotional moments that are a blast to draw, even the scary or depressing ones. If the game took place completely in the daytime and I was fighting just zombies it probably wouldn't have been anywhere near as fun.
