This one was a lot of experimenting with mood and background. I created some custom brushes to make things look right, and did a lot of messing with colors and layer properties to get the right "midday-but-overcast" feel. Overall I learned a lot, and thank Redmoonwatcher for the chance to work on a more well developed background!

We have a rose garden over here in Oregon.

Unfortunately, it's not this nice.

In fact, it's more of an events stadium.

Really, "Rose Garden" is just a title.

Yeah, I did notice a slight perspective flaw in my feet though, it's very minor and doesn't need to be changed but it'd be good to watch for. My left foot looks slightly bigger then my right even though my right is closer

Thanks! I honestly don't know if I've done -any- feathered wings fully colored before this one....so I'm happy to say that they weren't actually that hard to do!

I drew 4 roses with a standard PS brush tool, then I made those 4 into a custom brush that I used to create all the roses except for the one he is touching with his finger, which I drew normally again.
