A couple icons I made for me and my cat using our fursonas, once again colored in sai. Came out good and I was happy when I found out I can shrink them without them looking bad.

The only reason why they would shrink without looking bad is by saving them as a jpeg first then cropping/shrinking

but they look very good, even shrinked

Yup. When it comes to SAI or other art programs, its better to shrink and crop them BEFORE you save as a Jpeg. But its good that you seemed to figure that
