More stuff that just got mapped out/needs to get work done to it. Everything's still missing here. I think the rabbit involved in the mix is a bit more obvious here, though. Leigh's ears are also obviously different than HGD's.
Yeah. The hair's growing out.
FatherofFlowers aka Leigh is me and belongs to LPR/LRS/me. And Ian.

I <3 obvious adams apples on lanky guys. It might be a bit of a problem how much I heart them in artwork.
And funny enough, while it'll still remain a mix of all of those things, this hybrid form for me is just going to start being called a salamander. Even though there's obviously all these stylized attributes and stuff.
Gotta love the art community taking a species or genus and fucking with it completely :D

I adore the anatomy here, I like how the sway of the body sort of leads the eye in a natural circle all around the picture... I like how "full" it is.
What makes you decide to stop at the points you do to record progress? Is there anything you look for before doing so, or is it more at-random?

It's usually that I either that get feeling that I can stop somewhere (ok, this step is done) or that I have to stop somewhere because I'm out of time/have to go do something else.
I usually try to break it up into the following though: Base Sketch/Map, Sketch Up, Ink, Color, Details, Background. Obviously not all of the pieces have those steps, and sometimes there's an extra here or there when I have to stop short of completing each step.
What I find funny is things like when I map out much more detailed realistic things (like that hand, which actually was quite a few layers going from cartoony to realistic back to symbolized so that way I could make it look right to me), I think purposefully loose a lot of that detail/stylize it more in inking. For that hand, the fingers will probably get thinner while the knuckles stay large and bulky.

I tend to do most sketches in my sketchbook, and then scan them and go from there. So the first two in here were traditional, and from there it's digital.
My issue with inking traditionally is a] I suck at it and b] I add a lot of accessories and details after it's inked and colored. Just how my brain works. Also, to ink I zoom in a lot, so funny enough I can out a lot of detail in, but I loose a ton of it a lot of the time when I shrink it down to a normal size.

Thanks. I'm fine with that, and I should be done within a few days to a week if you wanted to wait and have a better reference? Because there's a lot left to add to this, and I'm not good at explaining things on here... sorry. That's more of HGD's deal (being wordy on the internet).
