Nightmare Moon is dead... she doesn't exist in my book. She was just a hurt jealous little girl who wanted to have friends and be loved... hardly worthy of chaos. The Shadowbolts work for Nightmare Moon so they are just as useless unless they switch sides.
The Diamond Dogs (Kobolds) are trash. Just get someone with a whiny voice (any sad pony in ponyville) and they will be utterly useless.
Trixie is too weak to be honest... but that could easily be fixed by the power chaos. Her hate for Ponyville and Twilight Sparkle, as well as her imaginative way of twisting other ponies talents would make her a very good agent of chaos. >=)
Gilda has a lot of hate in her heart, but that is about it. She could be a good way to try and keep rainbow dash occupied. Beyond that she would be little use in the conflict aside from being a meat shield.
If Dscord could find a way to twist spikes greed he might be a good member and if not he would make a decent hostage... or a good place to salvage some dragon parts and DNA.
