It was burnt up pretty bad after the fact, took it a while to start looking like it everywhere but directly under where it had landed. Was probably partially cooled by the time it hit my hand, not that I could tell one way or another. My partner flipped when he saw that I spent more time taking the picture than removing it.

"Ahaha, oh god. That must've been one hell of a scene."

Partner: Hey, what happ-WHAT THE HELL!?

You: Shh, I'm trying to take a picture of this metal that fused with my hand..

Partner: *Facedesk and groan*

That's almost exactly how it went down, lol. Though it was a bit more like this:

Tony: "You done with those pipe- What are you doing?"
Me: "Got some solder on my hand, looks fucking epic."
Tony: "You did WHAT?" ~Sees it~ "SHIT MAN, GET THAT OFF!"
Me: "One sec! Just finished saving the picture!"
Tony: ~whips the phone out of my hand~ "YOU FUCKING MORON!"
Me: ~tries to peel solder off, realizes it isn't coming off easily~ "Hm, this might be bad..."
Tony: ~Facepalm of epic clapping proportions~ "Nawww.... you don't say..."

LoL, no, it was lead solder. Went to the hospital just to be sure that I didn't get any nastiness from it.

So, I'm revisiting my FA after a few years, and I must've been high when I wrote that response. No, my ring isn't beaten silver, and I still wear it to this day. My ring is a Silver-Titanium alloy that has intentional grooves (can't remember what the official term for it is) for the sake of preventing wear on the bottom half of my hand. It's actually my class Ring.

Don't quite get whats so cool about a painless hand. I mean everyone wants some sort of anime trait but that's scraping the bottom of the barrel.

First thing I thought of was: It would feel like beating off with sandpaper if he had that many calluses.

There isn't anything cool about it, it's just a fact of life.

I have a hard time believing its molten hot when your hand isn't even red, even if you have no feeling the heat would cause the skin to turn some shade of red. Also, given how liquid pools and the contours of you hand... not how something would settle in it. That said, it looks cool, but your comment makes you look stupid =/

Honestly, if it was hot or not I wouldn't have known. When I saw it clung to my hand, I fished around for my phone to take the picture. All I know is that it was stuck enough to need to be peeled off.
By time I was taking it off it had cooled, and it may have even been partially cooled by the time it hit my hand. I just thought it looked cool.

Honestly, you didn't read my comment. The amount of heat required for metal to melt, would have fused it into your skin on contact.

And perhaps you didn't read mine. I had to peel it off, and that is the only part of it I physically felt. Had a nasty burn on my hand for the next week that left my hand looking like a baked snake skin. I'm not discrediting your experience and I doubt I could duplicate what happened if I tried (not that I will ever want to), I'm just extending an experience that I had for others to see.

That isn't necessarily true. There are metals with very low melting points. What is true however is your point about how it formed.

As mentioned earlier, couldn't repeat it if I tried. I just know it looked awesome.

no offense but you realise the picture could had been taken when the metal was cooled and the red skin around the metal could be faded away at the time the picture was taken.
