This is Canan Nubis, member of the Ca'nin tribe (he's the black-backed jackal) fighting Tharn Tigran, chieftain of the Fe'lin tribe and father of Kygrah (the one in the background).
Canan loves Kygrah, but the Ca'nin and Fe'lin are sworn enemies. They would meet secretly, Kygrah even gave him her tail ring, feather of the princess to him.
Tharn saw Canan with the tail ring, and immediately guessed what had been going on.
What happened?
A fight for Kygrah's future - to stay with the Fe'lin or run off with Canan.
And poor Canan looks like he has no chance....
