This is one of two pieces I have entered in the upcoming "Extraordinary contemporary comic books and cartoons" art exhibition being put on by the Arts Council of Greater New Haven. www.newhavenarts.org The other is a very large color pencil piece which won't fit on any scanner I presently have at my disposal >__<;; Anyway,this was the piece that caught their eye-frankly,I had completely forgotten about it. It's from a bunch of my old art that a writer friend of mine still has. We were brainstorming ideas foir Children's books and animation pitches, and one of the concepts we toyed with was something involving a bunch of typical neighborhood type kids who get into mischief,ala' "Our Gang" or "Fat Albert". So I came up with a group of of about 10 to 12 kids,including these two-a Boy and his pesky kid Sister. I know it's drastically different from what you're all used to seeing from me,but I actually do have a wide range of cartooning styles that I work in. Dang,I need to get more book illustration work! >.<; If anyone out there in FA land is interested,the exhibition will be running from September 14th until October 31st at the Small Space Gallery,70 Audubon street,2nd floor in New Haven,Connecticut.
