The X-Men were a big part of my childhood. Growing up, I watched that awesome cartoon from the mid 90s and, along with the Fantastic 4, were what really got me into comics.
Gambit was my favorite character... and I'm not ashamed to admit that he was one of my first (if not THE first) childhood crush. I mean, really... what woman could resist his Cajun charms. >_>
So, drawing him for my portfolio was pretty much a given. :)

Yeah I do agree girl what woman would resit his Cajun charisma and his sassy looks? I would have to say probably for me would have to be Beast or Wolverine from the X-Men. What is your thoughts on The Green Lantern, and or Ghost Rider? The X-Men, Fantastic 4, Green Lantern, Ghost Rider were from Marvel comics.
This is awesome! Nicely done! the coloration and the pose are perfect, and I think you did a spectacular job on the glow illuminating his face from his cards. That can be really difficult to do! Gambit was my childhood favorite from X-Men to, but I liked the idea of blowing things up, maybe a little too much... but what I really loved about him was his staff.
I first collected comics with the X men, just after they reached 102 issues. I went back and collected the whole numerical series. sometimes only in good condition, but I had the whole set of them. I stopped collecting them when I discovered furry, and at any rate lost every comic I own in 1996 when my belongings were in a storage locker which burned to the ground. I never really knew Gambit, having left the X Collecting before he was featured regularly. I don't know him well, other than his powers involve cards somehow...
