How is the powder to work with? I've been using liquid pigments and honestly I hate them with a passion. Also, how much is an oz really? I am assuming they're selling by weight, not volume, and that leaves a lot of room for interpretation.

they should last a long time. because you don't have to use a whole lot of it at all for each thing :)

I hate the liquid ones too P>P so much so.

for the white resin I use for the masks it just eats the color and makes it super light no matter what pigment I put in it X__X only this new clear stuff works for coloration well haha

Right, but about how much powder do you get for an oz? Like, glow powders are sort of heavy pigments, so you don't get all that much with an oz.

Oh, so that's the actual bag you get when ordering from them? Hmmmm, I'm just hesitant to buy it because I'm not entirely sure it's a good price compared to my other stuff. It does look like they're cleaner colors though...

Did you use a mold release? I'd hate for someone to follow this tutorial and not use a mold release if it is needed XD

for silicone molds you don't need mold release :)

HOWEVER a lot of makers like to use mold release in their silicone molds (again not necessary) for the sake of prolonging the mold itself!

if you're using a mold that is ANYTHING but silicone you need to use mold release! XD

It's very easy. what you need though is a kitchen scale! that measures oz! because you have to mix it 10-1 lol

I also have a silicone thickener which is VERY important!!!! you just make molds out of that! :)

one layer of thinner liquidy silicone (mixes that way originally) and the other layers have to have the thickener so you can put it on with a popsicle stick (what I do at least) Then it's a sturdy mold! I finally made the claws this way (had to sculpt each one) BUT you can make one good claw. make a small mold of that. make 10 or more copies of that first claw (so they're all the same!) then arrange them on a clay base (to keep it stuck to the bottom) on a cookie sheet. then make a mold of that! they're arranged in this way as you can see in the picture so that the mold will stand on its own! I have all too often trouble with (specially jawset molds) having to prop up one side of it as it's curing :C

Oh that's a lot of silicone xD Wow, I must try this soon when I get $ for supplies! c: I've never worked with resin before c'x

I have Heard I can you Acrylic paint for darker colors, Which How would I make the mold like yours?

not in resin :) if you try putting acrylics in two part resin it bubbles up. Xb

The mold is a whole different process that will take a bit to explain. I planned on making one but it takes a lot to organize the steps
