F5 PLEASE! If it shows up as a long tall picture.
NEEDLESS TO SAY I can now make colored resin things!! :D My resin provider now has a colorable resin that I just had to try and I am IN LOVE with it<3
♥You can purchase this resin here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Color-Pro-C.....item4cff11d216 They also provide larger volumes of it! :)
♥ribbed cups can be bought at Walmart for under $2.00 for a whole bunch.
♥Powdered colorants I am using you can purchase here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/36042512341.....84.m1497.l2649
(I have bought "Hot candy blue", "candy red", and "candy yellow"!)
Alright! I'm retarded and decided to make a tutorial making yellow claws... Makes it really easy for you to tell the difference between shiz huh?
yeahhhh I'm a TROLL.
but this should suffice for something! :D
any questions about it just go ahead and ask! ^^
ALSO. AGAIN. THIS IS JUST HOW I DO IT. YOU MIGHT HAVE OTHER METHODS. I'M JUST SHARING WHAT I DO WITH YOU SO YOU CAN DO WHAT YOU WILL WITH IT THANK YOU.
extra note! about mold release!
for silicone molds you don't need mold release :)
HOWEVER a lot of makers like to use mold release in their silicone molds (again not necessary) for the sake of prolonging the mold itself!
if you're using a mold that is ANYTHING but silicone you need to use mold release! XD

oh! well, in the link up there, from the place that I got some nice pigments, they are $10 a bag and each bag is one oz Xb
I love them<3 they're great! :D kind of messy at points XD but great!
they should last a long time. because you don't have to use a whole lot of it at all for each thing :)
I hate the liquid ones too P>P so much so.
for the white resin I use for the masks it just eats the color and makes it super light no matter what pigment I put in it X__X only this new clear stuff works for coloration well haha

XD sometime I'll be making that tutorial XD all I can say right now is I use this silicone religiously! XD http://www.ebay.com/itm/Silicone-RT.....item2a1c3fef2a
It's very easy. what you need though is a kitchen scale! that measures oz! because you have to mix it 10-1 lol
I also have a silicone thickener which is VERY important!!!! you just make molds out of that! :)
one layer of thinner liquidy silicone (mixes that way originally) and the other layers have to have the thickener so you can put it on with a popsicle stick (what I do at least) Then it's a sturdy mold! I finally made the claws this way (had to sculpt each one) BUT you can make one good claw. make a small mold of that. make 10 or more copies of that first claw (so they're all the same!) then arrange them on a clay base (to keep it stuck to the bottom) on a cookie sheet. then make a mold of that! they're arranged in this way as you can see in the picture so that the mold will stand on its own! I have all too often trouble with (specially jawset molds) having to prop up one side of it as it's curing :C
